A research study on the phenomenon of women’s unemployment will be conducted.

For the purpose of preparation and taking practical steps to carry out this research, on Sunday, 24/8/2025, a meeting was held between the Vision Foundation and each of: Zhilwan Adel Shakour, Director General of Social Supervision and Development in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate (by proxy), Mrs. Arezoo Ghafour, education superviser, and Dr. Zhiya Abbas, Head of the Khamoon Organization.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish a plan for research under the title: “Women’s Unemployment: Causes and Opportunities”, which the Vision Foundation decided to implement in coordination with the Directorate General of Social Supervision and Development, the Khamoon Organization, and a number of other relevant institutions.

The main objective of the research is to highlight the causes of women’s unemployment in Kurdish society and the opportunities for their employment, with a focus on Sulaymaniyah Governorate as the center of the study.
