Iraqi Minister of Justice Meets with Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the Iraqi Minister of Justice, Dr. Khaled Shawani, received a delegation from the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies. The meeting focused on exploring ways to strengthen cooperation between government institutions and research centers.
Dr. Shawani highlighted the importance of studying crises and challenges, stressing the need to enhance cooperation between civil institutions in the Kurdistan Region and their counterparts in Baghdad. Several solutions and recommendations were proposed and discussed during the meeting.
They also addressed issues related to the Iraqi constitution and existing legislation, with particular emphasis on the challenges of federalism and decentralization, twenty years after the adoption of Iraq’s new constitution.
