On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Ms. Amal Jalal, Chairperson of the Kurdistan Region Tourism Board, paid a courtesy visit to the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies VFSS. She toured the Foundation’s research facilities, commended its team on their accomplishments, and congratulated them on their continued contributions.
During the meeting, Ms. Amal and Foundation team explored a comprehensive plan to bolster the region’s tourism sector. They examined key strengths and investment opportunities, and emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration with government bodies and NGOs to drive tourism revenue. Ms. Jalal also highlighted prospects for expanding religious, sports, and cultural tourism in support of the Sulaymaniyah 2030 objectives.
In response, the Vision Foundation team outlined proposals for a strategic policy paper on tourism development—part of a broader effort to diversify the region’s income streams. They reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to advancing initiatives that promote sustainable development across Kurdistan.
