Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies has announced the establishment of a Social Advisory Board as part of its efforts to expand the scope of its work and strengthen its role in developing solutions to key social issues.
The board will be chaired by Professor Dr. Zhya Abbas, a researcher and university lecturer, and will primarily focus on issues related to families, children, women, and social transformations.
During the announcement ceremony, Adnan Osman, President of Vision Foundation, emphasized that the Foundation remains committed to broadening its areas of work and establishing specialized boards and expert platforms to address strategic issues. He also announced that, in line with society’s evolving needs, Vision Foundation will work to establish additional specialized boards in the future.
For his part, Dr. Zhya Abbas, Chair of the Social Advisory Board, noted that the board’s mission is not limited to analyzing social problems. It will also work on prevention, identifying practical solutions, and building a scientific foundation for social development.
The establishment of the board forms part of Vision Foundation’s broader vision to bring research findings and scientific knowledge into decision-making processes and transform them into practical solutions and actionable policies. This vision reinforces Vision’s position as a leading center for research, dialogue, and policymaking in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
