Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies participated in the opening ceremony of the Raperin Regional Development Agency, an institution dedicated to promoting development and economic growth in the region. The event was attended by senior government officials and the consuls of several foreign countries.
The ceremony was held today, Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Ranya. Dr. Didar Abdulkarim, Head of the Research Department at Vision Foundation, represented the organization at the event.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, who delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the agency and its role in advancing regional development. The consuls of the United Kingdom, France, and Armenia also took part in the event.
Supporting economic development across the Kurdistan Region in general, and the Raperin area in particular, remains one of the key objectives that Vision Foundation continues to pursue. In this regard, the Foundation organized a broad discussion session at the end of last month focusing on economic development opportunities within the Raperin Administration.
