Addressing Unemployment and Youth Migration Discussed with British Consulate

A delegation from the British Consulate in the Kurdistan Region discussed the issue of youth unemployment in the Kurdistan Region and illegal migration with the Board of Directors of the Vision Foundation.
Yesterday, February 3, 2026, Emma Hicks, Second Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs, and Layal Shaker, Justice and Home Affairs Policy Advisor at the British Consulate, visited the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies.
During the discussion, the British Consulate representatives addressed the issue of illegal refugees entering their country, noting that the migration rate has exceeded their country's capacity.
Efforts were made to discuss the problems related to the migration of youth from the Kurdistan Region to foreign countries, alongside the issue of unemployment and potential solutions.
Subsequently, the Vision Foundation presented the work, research, and activities it has conducted specifically regarding the issues of migration and youth unemployment.
