After a seminar organized by Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies regarding the health sector’s status, challenges, and solutions, several investors in Sulaymaniyah decided to take on the responsibility of addressing the shortages at Hiwa Hospital.

During the seminar hosted by Vision Foundation, led by Dr. Sabah Hawrami, Director General of Health in Sulaymaniyah, Dr. Yad Naqshbandi, Director of Hiwa Hospital, spoke about the hospital’s shortages. He pointed out that the MRI machine at Hiwa Hospital is currently out of service and that they are awaiting charitable support to repair it.

Following the Vision event, investor Jamali Haji Ali and traders from the Shawakt Mala market took on the task of repairing the machine at a cost of 265 million and 750 thousand Iraqi dinars.

On the previous Saturday, 19/7/2025, the Vision Foundation for Strategic Research held a seminar titled: “The Health Sector Between Challenges and Development Opportunities,”

hosted by Dr. Sabah Hawrami, Director General of Health in Sulaymaniyah, where several statistics and data related to the health sector were presented.

At the same time, Dr. Yad Naqshbandi, Director of Hiwa Hospital, discussed the issues facing cancer patients and the Hiwa Hospital.
