The Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies hosted a focus group dedicated to agricultural development and local projects, aiming to formulate a strategy for advancing this vital sector in the Kurdistan Region.

The focus group was held on August 11, 2026, under the title (Agricultural Development, Agro-Industry, and Support for Small and Medium Enterprises), with the participation of factory owners, agricultural and economic experts, academics, and relevant stakeholders.

During the meeting, participants discussed the obstacles facing the agricultural sector, the causes of local production weakness, and the challenges confronting projects and factories in the Kurdistan Region.

Through this focus group, the Vision Foundation aims to identify the problems facing agro-industry and establish a roadmap and strategy within a policy paper that includes several practical steps for resolution.
