In a step aimed at strengthening the role of scientific research in supporting economic development and shaping public policies, Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies and the International Center for Finance and Trade (ICFT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement, signed on Thursday, June 11, 2026, establishes a framework for cooperation and coordination between the two institutions, particularly in the fields of economic development, finance, and the banking sector in the Kurdistan Region.
Under the memorandum, both parties will collaborate on conducting scientific research, strategic assessments, and joint projects and activities that directly contribute to economic growth, public welfare, and community development.
The agreement also includes the development of strategic plans for the economic and financial sectors, with the aim of supporting a long-term vision for the development of the Kurdistan Region and enhancing the capacity of economic institutions to respond to future challenges and opportunities.
The memorandum, signed with the International Center for Finance and Trade (ICFT) one of Iraq’s leading institutions specializing in finance and banking affairs represents a new step toward building strategic partnerships among civil society organizations. It also reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen the role of research and policy studies in supporting development processes and fostering a stronger and more sustainable economy in the Kurdistan Region.
