Enhancing coordination between government agencies, investors, and project owners, along with addressing key challenges to drive sustainable economic growth, were the central focus of a joint meeting held on the sidelines of the second day of the Sulaymaniyah Summit.
On Friday, September 18, 2026, on the sidelines of the summit's second day, Shaho Osman, Deputy Governor of Sulaymaniyah; Amanj Jalal, Director General of Investment for Sulaymaniyah Governorate; and Nawzad Ghafour Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, joined summit organizers in a collaborative meeting with investors, banks, business owners, and entrepreneurs.
The meeting aimed to foster direct dialogue and establish closer cooperation between relevant government entities, project developers, and business stakeholders to resolve obstacles facing the investment, industrial, manufacturing, and commercial sectors—a core objective of the Sulaymaniyah Summit.
Summit panel sessions also examined several critical topics, including: integrating the banking, investment, real estate, and industrial sectors to drive sustainable development; strategies for advancing local production and competitiveness; the future of housing, real estate, and manufacturing; the vital role of banks as engines of economic development; and effective pathways for investment projects to secure institutional bank financing.
The Sulaymaniyah Summit was held on September 17–18, 2026, at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Sulaymaniyah, organized by the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies in partnership with the Sulaymaniyah Financial and Economic Center, the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Moonline Company.
